Work the land.
Respect the land.

Practical land clearing, brush management and habitat improvement for property owners who want their ground opened up, cleaned up and put to work.

The work

More than land clearing.

L&E is built around straightforward field work: clear what needs cleared, improve access and usability, and leave you with ground you can actually use.

01

Land Clearing

Brush, small trees, overgrowth and light grubbing for property improvement, access and future use.

$750 half-day • $1,250 full-day
02

Forestry & Brush

Selective clearing and vegetation management for wooded properties, trails, access routes and neglected ground.

Up to 6" trees • site dependent
03

Hunting Plots

Turn-key plot preparation built around access, shape, location and the way you actually hunt your property.

$4,000–$6,000 planning range*

*Package pricing depends on acreage, terrain, clearing requirements, access, equipment time and materials. Seeding is optional and priced separately.

Habitat • Access • Opportunity

Build the plot.
Then know the ground.

Our hunting plot work can include clearing, shaping, access work and site preparation. We do not require seeding as part of the base service.

  • Plot clearing & light grubbing
  • Access and approach improvements
  • Optional seed-bed preparation
  • Optional seeding for an additional charge
  • No guarantee of germination or crop growth
  • Pre-season thermal drone flyover available
Fox Two Aerial Solutions

See what the ground won't show you.

Pre-season aerial scouting can add another layer to a hunting property: thermal observation, access review, trail and habitat overview, and documented aerial imagery.

THERMALMAPPINGPRE-SEASONWILDLIFE

A natural add-on to the plot package.

Use the drone work as a standalone service or pair it with land improvement. Thermal flights are subject to weather, airspace, aircraft limitations and applicable FAA requirements. A flyover is an observation service—not a guarantee that wildlife will be located.

  • Pre-season thermal flyover
  • Property and habitat overview
  • Wildlife observation support
  • Optional mapping / imagery deliverables
Built in Virginia

Small company.
Real work.

L&E Land & Forestry is being built around practical field experience, equipment work, safety and a respect for the property we're working on.

Based around the Roanoke Valley and Southwest Virginia, the company is designed for landowners who don't need a giant contractor—they need someone who understands equipment, terrain, access, safety and what it takes to finish a job.

Clear. Improve. Preserve.

How it works
01

Walk it

We look at the property, access, terrain and scope.

02

Plan it

We determine equipment, time, materials and approach.

03

Work it

Equipment goes to work with the agreed scope in hand.

04

Leave it better

We clean up, review the work and document the finished ground.

VIEW WORK AGREEMENT

The quote request does not create a contract or authorize work.

Work Agreement

Simple. Clear. Covered.

A practical agreement covering the property, scope, access, utilities, equipment time, site conditions, payment and optional hunting-plot/drone services.

Field-ready agreement

Work Agreement

A simple project agreement covering the property, scope, equipment time, site conditions, payment and optional hunting-plot services.

Important: This is a practical business template, not legal advice. Have Virginia counsel review it before using it as your final customer contract, especially for liability, utility damage, indemnity and dispute provisions.

1. Scope & Authorization

The Customer authorizes L&E Land & Forestry (“Contractor”) to perform only the work described in the agreed scope. Changes, additions, extra mobilization or materially different site conditions may require a written change order or additional authorization.

2. Property Access & Customer Authority

Customer represents that they own the property or have authority to authorize the work and will provide reasonable access for personnel, vehicles and equipment. Customer will identify known hazards, restricted areas, septic systems, wells, drainage features, easements and other site-specific concerns known to them.

3. Utilities, Wires & Underground Hazards

Customer is responsible for identifying and disclosing known private utilities and site hazards. Public utility locating/811 requirements will be followed as applicable. Unmarked or inaccurately marked private lines, communications lines, irrigation, invisible fences, septic components and similar hazards can create additional downtime, repair costs and schedule impacts. Contractor will not knowingly operate equipment where a known hazard makes the work unsafe.

4. Equipment Time & Billable Downtime

Unless specifically excluded in the pricing, scheduled equipment and crew time remains billable while the Contractor is on the project and reasonably attempting to perform the agreed work. This includes reasonable site-related downtime such as waiting for access or instructions, repositioning, clearing site debris, changing or blowing out air filters because of dusty conditions, cleaning equipment, routine field maintenance, wire/utility-related shutdowns, weather interruptions after mobilization, and other delays caused by the property or site conditions.

Downtime caused solely by Contractor equipment failure unrelated to the site, when the equipment is not being used, is not intended to be charged as productive equipment time unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Hidden Conditions & Obstructions

Buried debris, rock, concrete, stumps, roots, unstable ground, steep terrain, standing water, hidden utilities, undocumented structures or other conditions not reasonably visible during the initial assessment may require additional time, equipment or methods. Contractor will communicate material changes when practical before proceeding.

6. Weather & Ground Conditions

Rain, saturated soil, extreme heat, wind, lightning, snow or other conditions may require work to stop or change for safety and property protection. Weather-related delays may affect the schedule and, when the crew/equipment has already mobilized or remains assigned to the project, may result in billable time as specified in the pricing.

7. Trees & Material

Tree and brush removal is limited to the agreed scope and equipment capability. Contractor does not guarantee that every tree, stump, root, rock or invasive plant can be removed unless specifically included. Wood, chips, slash and other material will be handled as agreed; disposal, hauling or additional processing not included in the scope is extra.

8. Hunting Plot & Seeding

Hunting plot preparation may include clearing, shaping, access and seed-bed preparation as specifically listed. Seeding is not included unless expressly selected and priced as an additional service. If Contractor performs seeding, Customer understands that germination, plant establishment, yield and growth depend on weather, soil, seed, wildlife pressure, timing and other conditions outside Contractor control. No guarantee of growth or successful establishment is made.

9. Drone / Thermal Services

Optional Fox Two Aerial Solutions drone services may include aerial imagery, thermal observation, mapping or pre-season wildlife scouting. Flights are subject to weather, airspace, aircraft limitations and applicable laws and regulations. Thermal imagery can assist observation but does not guarantee detection, identification or recovery of wildlife and is not a substitute for a physical inspection.

10. Property Damage & Care

Contractor will use reasonable care in performing the agreed work. Customer understands that heavy equipment operates on natural ground and may leave tire tracks, rutting, disturbed soil, dust, noise or other ordinary evidence of construction/forestry activity. Contractor will not be responsible for conditions caused by undisclosed hazards, hidden utilities, pre-existing damage, ordinary site disturbance inherent to the agreed work, or conditions outside Contractor’s reasonable control, subject to applicable Virginia law.

11. Payment

Customer agrees to pay the amount and according to the terms shown above. Additional authorized work, change orders, additional mobilization, materials and billable site-related downtime will be added to the amount due. Past-due balances may be subject to lawful collection remedies and charges if stated in the final executed agreement.

12. Cancellation / Rescheduling

Because equipment and crew time are scheduled specifically for a property, cancellations or rescheduling after mobilization may result in a mobilization charge and/or scheduled minimum, as stated in the quote or final agreement.

13. Final Acceptance

Customer will have an opportunity to inspect the completed work. Minor variations caused by terrain, vegetation, weather, equipment limitations or safety considerations do not constitute failure to perform when the agreed scope has been substantially completed.
